We woke up to a thick fog and dripping wet trees. We set off in our great new rain jackets. We rode in the fog for a good part of the day, mostly on county roads again, and passed through quite a few small towns. The rural areas are very pretty, and most of the roads had only light traffic.
We stopped for doughnuts, of course. Around early afternoon the sun finally came out! Tonight we are staying with a Warm Showers host, out in the country. They treated us to pizza and we had a good visit with them. They are not cyclists, but enjoy hosting cyclists traveling through the area.
