DAY 24--and more Montana

Today we had a lot of long hills in low, colorful bluffs. Not many towns along the 75 mile route, and some headwind.
We stopped in Terry at a local museum and a gallery with the photography of Lady Evelyn Cameron. She had moved from England to Montana in the late 1800s, thinking she would raise polo ponies. When that didn't work out, she became noted for her photography of the area and the people. Many of her photos showed scenes of everyday life in the west. She kept exceptional records of what she had photographed, which allows for excellent labeling of her photos in the gallery--an amazing historical record.
The campground where we stayed was very sketchy. We were the only ones in a tent, and most of the small travel trailers looked to be parked there permanently, the homes of workers in the nearby oil fields. We had our pepper spray on hand and skipped the showers.
It rained all night.
