DAY 19--The last pass

Today we went over our last mountain pass--Bozeman Pass. It was almost anticlimactic, as we had climbed so much yesterday (very gradually) that the pass itself almost seemed like just another typical large hill. But the downhill was GREAT! We glided down 9 miles into the Yellowstone River Valley, and followed the river most of the day. More beautiful scenery! A couple of places we had to ride on the interstate, which was not much fun. Most of the time we were on frontage roads, with a gradual (barely noticeable) downhill grade, and a mild tailwind, a total of 70 miles.
We tried to see the Yellowstone Gateway Museum in Livingston, but it wasn't yet open when we got there, so instead we went and had pie and a cinnamon roll. Stopped to visit a quilt shop in Big Timber, then rode on to a KOA campground at Greycliff.
We are now officially over and through the Rocky Mountains.

  1. Congrats on making it through the Rockies! We drove to Denver and back and looked for you along the way - although we were further south than your path. You guys are doing great!!
