DAY 20--Not all who wander are lost

Today was our longest day yet, ending up at 87 miles. We had miles of long, nearly flat roads in the Yellowstone River Valley, with just a few hills to magnificent overlooks. Had some more time riding on the interstate. One stretch had the right lanes closed with all the traffic shifted to the left lanes. We stayed to the right and had it all to ourselves! Had a tremendous tailwind most of the day so we made pretty good time.
Starting to see more bluffs and trees, and still many fields of hay. Saw another osprey nest up close, with 3 ospreys taking flight as we passed.
Rode through Billings, which had quite a lot of traffic. Stopped at a fresh peach stand--YUM! We managed to miss a turn on the way to our friend's house, so added several miles to our total. We always are so sure we are on the right track that it takes a while to decide we need to turn around or call for directions.
Had a fabulous dinner of grilled chicken brats, and enjoyed playing with 5-year-old Elliot and holding 3-month-old Reese.

  1. Hey girls, where did you get the cool jerseys? Any special reason you chose that design?
